How can black and white stationery & signage be the perfect addition to your colourful wedding? Part I
You might think it’s impossible to incorporate black and white into a wedding full of colour given that they are literal opposites, but we have two stunning, and very different examples of how it’s not only achievable, but simply beautiful.
Part I) The Wedding of Abigail & Tom | 05.07.2024
Could these photographs be any more perfect? The wonderfully talented Lauren Amelia Photography has captured the essence of Abi & Tom’s wedding day with these light and airy photographs (works of art in their own right, in our humble opinion) with pops of colour everywhere.
From the vibrant roses from The Dancing Daffodil, the soft creamy bridesmaid dresses, and even down to our bride’s hot pink lipstick! Every detail of this day has been thought out, leading us onto our wedding stationery and signage.
Abi & Tom chose our Wildflower invitations to let their guests know about their perfect day, as well as give them a glimmer of the day that was to come. But the colours and florals from the invitations were simply not needed on their wedding day stationery and signage.
This time, real flowers were the cherry on the top of the minimalistic black and white welcome sign, and the tablescapes at the wedding reception provided all the colour needed as a radiant backdrop for their seating plan sign.
You will see the same black type flowing through the custom table menus, beautifully reminding each guest of the meals they chose many months ago (always a great idea!) Are we cheating a little by claiming these menus are monochrome? The custom wax seal with the bride and groom’s entwined initials might say so, but we say black and white stationery is the perfect combination to add YOUR pops of colour to, no matter your colour scheme.
If you’d like to talk about how we can bring this simplistic loveliness to your day, please get in touch.
A huge thank you to Abi & Tom for sharing their breathtaking wedding album with us!
